Notes: Ex-London collection. Thames foreshore find. Described as "very fine" condition. Plate is made of one piece of folded thin metal with 5 stamped hearts and a row of punched circles down each sise. Pin complete and moves freely. Two rivets remain. Buckle frame is rectangular shaped with a central bar from which the plate and pin attaches.

Similar to: Identical style of heart stampings with circular lines on a buckle plate from Europe which is not the same size or width.

Notes
: Rectangular buckle frame with decorative knops on each corner. The knops are a cluster of three balls. The pin is complete and moves freely. The buckle plate is of one pice construction with the plate folding over to form the back. The plate has four piercings for rivets, none of which remain. The plate appears undecorated, but made of silver, which differs from the composition of the buckle frame and pin.

Notes: Frame is complete and unbroken. Clasp head is zoomorphic. The plate is of folded sheet construction and has 5 diagonal lines across the full width. there is one piercing which houses an intact rivet. There is a single piercing for a buckle tongue which is absent. The item is is in fine condition and moves freely. From a small collection formed in the 1980's.

Notes: Lovely intact item with smooth dark patina. The buckle is cast with a forked spacer and circular buckle with a small triangular point where the pin rests. The pin is present and moves freely. The plate has very thin top and bottom plates and terminates in a crescent where it meets the strap but is otherwise undecorated. One rivet remains. Notes: Notes: The D shaped buckle loop is complete and unbroken. The buckle frame has a large pointed knob with two raised shoulders and a pair of small shoulders at the side which the buckle plate joins. It is of cast construction.

The pin is original, is complete and moves freely. The pin rests between the two upper shoulders on the buckle frame.

The buckle plate appears plain and undecorated and is of folded construction with four piercings for rivets; two on the top and a corresponding pair underneath. The rivets are not present.

Notes
: Double buckle frame is complete and undamaged. There are no traces of gilding or decoration and due to the extremely small size, is unlikely to have been decorated.

The plate is made with the folded construction method and has an oval apeture to accomodate the pin, which is not present. The plate has a piercing which punctures both ends of the plate to house a rivet, which is present in situ. The plate itself is undecorated.

Small traces of gold gilding remain on the front around the pin and at the side of the buckle.
